This is a five member band who plays a mix of grunge rock with some metal mixed in. Benevox is unique in the way they blend their music. Their sound is fantastic.

The members of the band are...
She joined Chalky and Company in March, 2015 when a friend told her about the company. She loves that she is an independent consultant which enables her to craft and teach at the same time.

Chalky and Company is a crafting company in which the customer can take home their home décor after the class. It's a fairly new company and currently there isn't another like it. Jana is consultant number 22 of signing up with this company. She is truly helping grow this company from the ground up.

The catalog offers many different craft projects that takes about two hours per kit. It has a wide variety of projects to choose from.

If you are looking for a fun and interactive business, this would be the business. Jana is looking to help grow this company by bringing on more consultants. Not to mention, if you decide to host a party, you will receive free gifts in addition to being creative and having a good time with family and friends.
They released their first EP, 'Worlds Collide' and received such a great response from family and friends, they decided to put it online.

Inspired Reflections formed in 2012, but became serious about releasing music in 2013. Their music is inspired by two generations coming together to connect to their listeners. As a family they work together to produce a sound that is amazing.

In their few short years of being together, Impending Reflections has moved forward quickly. They have gone from a family band, to releasing music online, to playing live, and were selected finalist in The Last Band Standing in Rhode Island by the New England Music awards. Not to mention they have shared the stage with Anvil, Scare Don't Fear, Outline in Color, Mad Kings, The Bunny The Bear, Black Tide, and Grammy Nominee artist, Shadows Fall.

This two generational band brings about diversity, story telling, and true art that supports local businesses when possible. Their most recent CD release, 'Kindred' was recorded with locals as well as their music video production, artwork for the CD, and worked with a local comic book creator and comic shop on their music video, 'Ghosts in the Mist'.
Giving my dream of being an author and blogger. I have felt frustrated and like a failure. I know others have felt the same way I have.

I'm not giving up though. Saturday night I was talking to my best friend's mom and letting her know I was working on formatting my next book correctly, but it is published on Kindle. I will say, yes many formatting problems I'm struggling with so I'm not promoting it. She went on to ask about Underground Evil. I told her it was still in the works. She yelled at me, yes yelled at me because she's been waiting. Wow, what a compliment! Yes from someone I know, but if the first book in the series was completely awful she would have let me know.

Still feeling a little discouraged, a co-worker and good friend asked how I got started with my idea and dream. At first I was caught off guard. She said to me, you're doing it, what can I do to get started? My first thought was, I'm really not doing it. Then I turned that thought around, yes I am doing it. I may not be where I want to be, but I'm getting there.

Here is the point I want to make. While working towards your goal, dream, or idea, you are going to feel frustrated at times. You are going to feel like a failure. You are going to get down on yourself. It's ok. It's also ok to fail. Without failing you can't succeed. I know that's a cliché but it's very true.

Failure happens, but you can't fail without trying. You also can't succeed without failure. You have to fail to learn and move forward.

So here's to failing and learning from those failures and I raise my diet coke to toast you. Don't give up. Don't let fear stop you. Don't let frustration stop you. Follow your dreams and do it with love. Brooke's mom had passed away. After her passing, Brooke learned who her father was. When she learned her father was, the owner of a business who was hiring, she immediately applied for the job so she could get to know him.

Once hired, Brooke met her boss, Kevin. He's, a true business man who puts on the persona of being hard. He's bossy and somewhat arrogant. Kevin didn't realize he had met his match with Brooke. She stood her ground with him. Never before had another assistant spoke to him the she had.

Shortly after being hired, Brooke is sent to Las Vegas on a business with Kevin. Their "relationship" takes a few twists on the trip.

As I was reading I wanted to know what Brooke was going to do next. She definitely kept Kevin wondering in the book. The characters in this book will seem real to you.

I really enjoyed reading this. It was hard to put down. If you like adult romance, I highly recommend this book for you to read. I promise you won't be disappointed. You will finish wanting to read the rest of the series.
Our History... Our Wild HorsesNothing can compare to the beauty of a horse in its natural habitat. I just learned our wonderful free spirited horses are being tortured, murdered, sterilized, and rounded up illegally. I started researching with the help of someone and was shocked by the videos and stories.

The wild horse is part of our history, our wild west. They are an icon of what our country once was. Wild and free. Now their freedom is in jeopardy.

One of the documents I have read over and over is the 'The Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act of 1971'. This act was put into place after Wild Horse Annie fought for many years for their freedom. This act, in my opinion was a good start, that the government didn't expand on. Why do I put it this way? The act does not spell out how many wild horses are protected.

This is only my opinion, but to me this is a loop hole so the government will have a legal way to do what they want with the wild horses. Unless, we, the people who vote in our government know the numbers of protected horses, how do we know if what they are doing is legal?

Let me tell you how. It says in the act, the horses are to be put down because of being lame, sick, elderly, or over population, and are to be put done in a humane way. I have had videos and articles presented to me, and it doesn't appear this is happening.

I watched a video where a foal was chased down and it broke it's leg running for safety. Is this humane? I don't think so, and now because of this, that man could legally put the foal down because it became lame.

Pictures have been presented of horses being rounded and trampling each other. Some have broken their necks. Fouls killed due to, too many horses forced into trailers. They are riding in cramped trailers where they can't move for long hours.

Since being a little girl, horses have been a passion for me. I remember playing barbies with my cousin and we would talk about the horses we'd have as adults. When I was 16, our mare Cocoa had her first filly we named Maybell. Oh how I loved that horse. The bond I had with her was amazing. I loved wrapping my arms around her neck and taking in the smell of her.

If you have ever loved a horse you would understand the love of watching them run and their freedom. Taking a wild horse from its habitat, home, and only life they have known is wrong and inhumane. How would you like to lose your freedom? How would you like to be evicted from your home and possibly face death, sterilization, or fear of what is to come? Think about that for a moment. Horses are souls and free spirits.

Let our wild horses be free in their home to run. Let them have happiness. Let them continue showing what our wild west once was. Help support the advocacy groups fighting for their rights. Help support some of the rescues.

Watch this video. It's an hour of watching the wild horse in their habitat with some music Watch this and ask yourself why our government wants to destroy such beauty? 1 Hour Relax with Wild Horses (Mustangs) & Music. Such a heartfelt video. The second video shows a roundup. After watching that will your heart reach out to these horses?
Airport Impressions is an amazing band who writes songs that
tell a story. Their songs can be felt right into heart. I had the honor of
meeting them in the Indie Scene Radio chat room. When I say honor, this is a
true honor.

This band is currently based out of Malta, a small island
south of Sicily in the Mediterranean. Locally they have played in many major
venues and hosted some of their own concerts. Performing abroad is their next
focus to perform for new audiences.

Airport Impressions was started by Errol and Johann in
Ireland in 2008. A year later Chris and Steve joined them to complete the four
man band.
Their first
commercial release, ‘Beside You’, obtained local airplay quickly.

‘Minutes of a Lifetime’ was their first official release in
September, 2010. This album brings back reflections of our lives. This is a track album that contains singles
such as ‘Freedom’ and ‘Walk with Me’. ‘Walk with Me’ gained a few local awards,
Best Song, Best Band, and the entire album was named Best Album of the Year,
2010 in both local and national awards.

Their first EP with five songs was released in 2009 called
‘Seeing with Eyes Closed’. This EP contains the first songs written and
recorded by the band. The song ‘Boderline’ was a local hit.

Their most recent release, ‘Mariette’ in 2014, is somewhat
different than their other releases. The songs on this album are based upon
personal experiences or encounters and society itself. The band uses acoustic
guitars as the main songwriting influence in this album. Singles on this album
such as, ‘Hymns of June’, ‘Berlin’, and ‘Star Signs’ are already hits.

Check out their music on iTunes and YouTube. If you are ever
in Malta, catch one of their performances. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Especially when they unexpectedly get sick and need to be hospitalized. Below is a general scenario.

The hospital has done all they can do to help your sick family member. They are now going to discharge your parent to a rehabilitation facility and they have twenty-days there that will be paid for by Medicare. What happens if they aren't fully recovered in twenty-days and they need additional help?

This scenario is something my "partners in crime" and I hear a lot in our employment. I call them "partners in crime" because they are the best girls ever to work with and they truly care about the folks we work with.

In some instances the hospital or rehabilitation center may have a social worker available to help you and offer guidance. He or she may make referrals for you. Individuals from various agencies may come in and talk to your family member or you about the services they have to offer.

Sounds overwhelming, right? It can be. When I call individuals they tend to get the agencies confused and forget which services they offer. It's already overwhelming handling day to day duties, and now you're trying to stay organized to determine the best way to care for your family member.

Here is some advice to stay organized.

Keep a folder on hand. Chances are the person coming to speak to with you is going to leave a pamphlet or some sort of information about their program. Take notes. They are likely going to give more information than what is in the packet. Ask questions and write down those answers. Keep everything compiled together. Try to keep all information as organized as possible because you are going to want to review it.

I also advise asking for more than one business card. I say this in case you have other family members involved in the decision and they can call and ask questions or maybe set up a meeting for themselves.

One thing I do say to individuals when they tell they may have to put their family member in a nursing home, is don't make an appointment. When you make an appointment with a nursing home, there is a possibility you won't see the true picture. Walk in unannounced. Look around and observe how the staff interacts with the residents. What activities are going on? Is the nursing home clean? Are there odors?

I hope you find this helpful. When things happen unexpectedly, sometimes it's hard to think of the best way to stay organized and take in all the information given to you. The author definitely does just that through her radio show and sharing others work.

She makes a good point. So many people have radio shows, blogs, vlogs, and share works of others that don't charge a dime. They are paying it forward.

I personally am grateful to those who have helped me along my path. There are so many out there, that when I took a break from blogging and writing, they carried on sharing my work. I couldn't be more grateful to them.

A group called, Stooshpr that I belong to, as well as many of the artists that I feature, believe in supporting one another. The administrator does a fabulous job of keeping members of the group informed of who is needing help and who can help. This group has taught me that it is important to offer support, lift one another up, and work together. The only way to success is to help one another.

When helping someone, you may be the one person who has the contact to help that individual succeed, just by clicking a button and sharing.

In the words of our fabulous administrator of Stooshpr, "Circle the Wagons". Let's network and help each other along the path of following a dream by "Circling the Wagons".
Comment your links of websites, your fan pages on facebook, your twitter names, and maybe through this blog you can get help from others and help them along their path.
Especially after visiting with a friend about an elderly family member. I'm writing this to raise awareness of what our elderly go through and what we may face one day.

So many of our elderly are having to choose between eating or paying for their medications. For many social security is the only income they have. Some have a small retirement pension to supplement their social security but it isn't enough to pay everything.

Here is something to think about. Medicare B and D costs our elderly. In some instances some qualify for the state to pick up the cost of Medicare B. Then they may have a supplemental insurance that costs close to $200 a month if not more.

Imagine that your gross social security check is $900 a month. Then you have a small retirement of $500 a month. Your home is paid for, but you have depleted all of your savings paying for property taxes and insurance on your home since you retired. Now you have nothing but you're monthly check.

Now you are down to around $1000 to live on, because remember you are already paying for Medicare B, D, and a supplemental insurance. Your prescriptions cost you around $300 a month. We'll say that is for over the counter also because in my mind, a prescription is anything the doctor advises you to take. Now you are down to $700.

Factor in depends, because you are now at an age that this is required. We'll say a package a week that costs around $20 each a package. Now you are down to $620. But wait, the doctor said you aren't eating enough so you need something to supplement your diet. Tack on another $100 for ensure. Now you are down to $520.

We just went through the cost of insurance and prescriptions. On top of that you have utilities, phone, transportation needs, In addition there may be a need to pay for help for an aid to come in and help you take a shower a couple of times a week. After paying for all of this, there is no money left for food.

What is a person in this situation supposed to do? Get a job? What if you are too sick? Apply for Medicaid? That could happen, but what if none of the programs offered are beneficial to you. What if the program will cost you more than your cost of medications? Yes, I have seen that.

I can hear some asking the question while reading this, 'What about family?' In some instances there may not be family close by, they either live in another state, may work a lot of hours to support their children, or they may be disabled themselves. You may have cut that family member off because when they did come around, they stole from you or taken advantage of you. Family is not always the best answer or even an option.

There is a program for our veterans and their spouses called Aid and Attendant Care. I thank my friend Peggy for introducing this to me, because I tell people about this and help some elderly apply. However, there is a catch to this income also. One being the veteran had to serve 90 days active duty, during a war, be age 65 and over, and have less than $50,000 in assets. The pay is based on a sliding scale of how much medical costs you have.

Also check with various associations and foundations to inquire if they have grants, waivers, or scholarships to assist with costs of medications. There are many hidden programs out there that many don't have knowledge of unless the right questions are asked.

I'm going to end this with, please be aware of the elderly around you. Ask them if they have all that they need. Remember, you may think this won't happen to you, but it can. I have seen where some should never have been in a situation of choosing to eat or buy a medication but they are because their health took a turn for the worse. What You Are Passionate Abouthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01998429080076796704noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2395219835642182876.post-26156161581061089152015-07-29T17:29:00.000-07:002015-07-31T04:32:19.668-07:00Joe Symes & The Loving Kind, New SingleJoe Symes & The Loving Kind have been making debuts around the UK since 2013. All of their releases have been fabulous. The very first song I ever listened to by this band was 'Where Do I Belong'. I immediately was hooked. I knew from only listening to that song this band would make the big time.
I have been so blessed with all of the help and encouragement from not only family and friends, but from people who were once complete strangers and now friends, men and women alike.

I chose Women Empowering Women because I am seeing a lot more of it. I see that women from all walks of life are lifting each other up and encouraging one another. I want to mention three women in this blog who do just that, encourage, empower, and lift up.

Celeste Vertikal Duckworth is amazing. She has been such a great guidance. I have learned a lot from her. She has a show Women on the Rise and a magazine, Vertikal Magazine. She started this magazine with her husband,Norman. Since his passing she has expanded and grown their dream. She reaches out to help others through features. Her heart is as big as it can be. She does an amazing job of raising awareness on issues close to her heart.

Shanikqa N.Canty started the QueenEntrepreneur group on facebook with co-founder, Kateri KT McKnight. Shanikqa does a fabulous job of personally connecting with members of the group. She encourages women to reach out to one another and network. She has featured many women on her show. She also empowers women by guiding them to sources that could assist them along their path. She is a very impressive young woman that is passionate about helping other women.

Michele Jenae works to empower women by helping them connect. She not only encourages the connections, she makes personal contact through phone calls and encourages others to do the same. She is very good at determining who would work well together.

Women Empowering Women is so fun! Meeting new women, learning their dreams, and helping them along their path either through sharing their work or featuring them is very uplifting.
I have a great spiritual leader, Ruby, who lets me know when I start to let go and stop my spiritual work. My life seems to fall apart a bit when I stop the work. (By the way you can find Ruby, at Ruby's Readings.)

I have also started following Jen Duchene who is a great numerologist. I have found that astrology and numerology provide similar information. One of the things that Jen was talking about today was letting go and being free. That is one thing that I have to work on. What is it I have to let go of? Control. Why do I have control? I am shackled by fear.

I was raised that you have to work, even if you are miserable in the job, you have to work and pay your bills. Well yes, you have to pay your bills, but you don't necessarily have to work a miserable job.

I have spent much of my adult life searching and looking for the one thing I enjoy. I enjoy writing and helping others. In my full time forty hour work week, half of my job is spent helping others in the community. Love fills me completely when I am doing this. The other half is spent in billing. Hate, anxiety, and other very negative emotions fill up in me when I am sitting in the office doing the billing.

Fear has shackled me from leaving my full time job and working on strictly blogging, my guest features, and writing novels and novellas. The fear is not being able to pay my bills and feed my kids. The fear of failing.

Here is a story. Now I love my grandpa, may he be resting in peace. God love this man. He had such a great heart, but fear of having nothing shackled him. I know this came from growing up in the depression.

Do you remember Hurricane Katrina? During that time, organizations were collecting sheets and blankets for the people affected by the hurricane. I had an over abundance of sheets. I told my grandpa I was going to donate all of my sheets except for two sets for my bed and two sets for my son's bed. He told me not to do that because I may need those sheets. I thought to myself, for what? Why do I need so many sheets? I went home and bagged up those sheets, two large trash bags full and donated them. Never did I come into a need for sheets.

I need to learn to let go of my fear like I let go of those sheets. I know my shackles break free a little more each time I put my trust into the Universe, but it is hard to fully let of the control and hand it over.

Does the shackles of fear affect you? If so, how? What You Are Passionate Abouthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01998429080076796704noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2395219835642182876.post-22435104981585284932015-03-23T18:02:00.000-07:002015-03-23T18:02:56.183-07:00Grandma's Love of RomanceIf you met my grandma, you wouldn't think she was a romantic person. I never thought of her as a romantic person, but now that I think about it, she had a love for romance. She read Harlequin Romance stories like there wasn't going to be a tomorrow.

When my uncle moved out and got married, I think she made his room into a Harlequin Romance and yarn room. Well and extra storage for her clothes. She had drawers of a large dresser and a book shelf full of Harlequin Romance. She never read any other type of book.

I got my love for reading from her, but I never could get into romance books. I want the drama and excitement. She used to get a box full of six or more books a month in the mail. She read them all before the month was out.

I remember when she was passing she had a few books still in the box behind her chair and one that was partially read. When she was passing, I read some of the book she had not completed to her. I knew even though she couldn't talk to me she could hear me. How do I know that? When I got called into the kitchen by my mom, I stopped reading. When I looked over at her, she was moving her shoulders in an angry way. I knew in my heart, she was upset that her reading got interrupted. I have to chuckle to myself when I see that in my mind and think about it.

I like to think that she is on the other side sitting in a comfortable recliner with her game shows and westerns on the television and a Harlequin Romance in her hands. She is ten years younger than me, so I love to tell her some of the stories of my memories. One of them we talked about was grandma and her dancing shoes.

Now let me start by saying that my grandparents started taking dancing lessons when I was probably around seven, maybe younger. They practiced in the living room, in the kitchen, wherever they could. They loved dancing. Sometimes, I was grandpa's partner for practicing. I learned the box waltz, the polka, foxtrot, and any other country western dance you could imagine that they learned.

When the lessons were over they got a membership at the Moose Lodge, (which had the best steaks around) and Vinewood. I'm not sure if Vinewood required a membership. Anyhow, every weekend was spent dancing, whether it was a senior citizen dance out of town, or at one of the places above, they were dancing. Nothing stopped them. Plus if I was along, especially at the Moose Lodge, I got to feel like a big girl and drink with them. I looked forward to my Shirley Temple drink. (Cherry Coke with a cherry).

As the dancing got more serious, so did the shoes. Grandma would get a catalogue of shoes and she ordered pairs upon pairs of shoes for dancing. The ones that stick in my mind the most are the patent leather, tan ones, with a short square heal. I'm sure they are still in the closet. She would wait impatiently like a child for her dancing shoes to be delivered.

They were delivered in a brown shoe box, and they each had to be in that box when not being worn and were stacked neatly at the bottom of the closet.

Even though, today I smile about the dancing shoes, I wouldn't trade the memories of dancing with them for anything. I know they are in heaven dancing now, grandpa in his gray suit and grandma, in a beautiful dress with a pair of her dancing shoes.
With a mother who was an actress, who also worked full-time, while Jeanne was young, and a father who sang, she had talent in her blood. Her mother was very interested in art as well. She watched her mother perform on stage and sang songs from the 1950's with her father.

As a teenager she played in a garage band and played small parts in school productions. Even though stage fright encompassed her, she never let it stop her. She went beyond her fears and began her dreams at a young age. Spreading her wings and delving into a world beyond anything, but what an artist could understand, is exactly what Jeanne did.

Pretending, playing, and acting came easy to Jeanne at a young age. Since a young child it was easy for her to pretend and play in her grandparent's yard, and go into a magical make believe world.

Approaching adulthood, she wanted to pursue her acting career, but the fear of rejection held her back. She took odd jobs here and there to keep her dream alive until 2005 when she plunged directly into pursuing her dreams. Hard work and perseverance throughout her life is what has helped Jeanne become the person she is today.

After studying acting from well-known instructors and casting agents at the schools, San Francisco School of Digital Film and Film Acting Bay Area, she went on to appear in fourteen movies, many of which she was the lead actress.

Jeanne's resume is remarkable and a true inspiration. She co-wrote with her life partner and sister, co-produced, co-casted, and was lead actress, in the short film 'Lacuna'. Lacuna was entered into a Scary Cow Film contest in San Francisco which shown on a big theater screen. The experience for her was extremely educational.

Recently Jeanne played a role in the television series, 'Wives with Knives' which aired on the Investigation Discovery Channel. In the last six months she has obtained roles in three commercials. Two of the commercials were web commercials, and the third was for a Russian Newspaper. In addition, she performed in a live theater show on Valentine's weekend, called the Vagina Monologues. Most of the fourteen films that Jeanne acted in were based here in the United State. One film in Bollywood, in which she played a supporting lead role was abroad in India.

She has also obtained the lead roles in upcoming feature films, 'Suddenly Real' and 'Streets'. 'Streets' is currently in production and Jeanne is not only one of the lead actresses but also associate producer.

I want to say thank you to Jeanne for allowing me to write this and feature her. This blog and Jeanne has been inspiring for me. As a woman, she did not let anything stop her from eventually following her dream. She never let fear hold her back.

I like to pull morals out of stories, and I think the moral to Jeanne's story is, dreams are never forgotten. Thank you Jeanne.

If you would be interested in contacting Jeanne to represent her, she is currently seeking representation with an agent. Please see below the ways to get in touch with her.
Jodie Schofield, is a Liverpool singer songwriter. After years working in radio
as a writer and producer, Jodie picked up an acoustic guitar borrowed from her

performing original music.
documentary. It is a poetic essay that takes its audience on a journey through
twelve countries, exploring the contrast between pastry making and consumption
in various parts of the world. While in some parts of the world those who farm
the ingredients for pastries can’t even afford them, in Paris, Tokyo and Los
Angeles, lavish pastries adorn the shelves of pastry shops along the streets.
Written and directed by award-winning director Alexis Krasilovsky, “Let Them
Eat Cake” addresses the planetary emergency of too little food, while seducing
the viewer with the lavish traditions and beauty of pastry and cake-making that
call us back to the roots of our childhood. The film is now available on VOD

What You Are Passionate Abouthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01998429080076796704noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2395219835642182876.post-67194105637990103292015-01-21T06:00:00.000-08:002015-01-21T14:04:56.597-08:00Featuring Author LR HatfieldA Little About My Past

I live and grew up in Kansas. I had grandparents who farmed and grandparents who owned a grocery store and gas station. Both of my parents worked full time, so I spent a lot time with my grandparents. I am very lucky at my age to still have one grandma living. She still drives and lives at home.

My Grandma and Grandpa Spencer, my uncle, my cousin Tricia, and my dad all played instruments. They played Blue Grass. Tricia and her husband have a Blue Grass Band that is really taking off. Very proud of her. I loved to listen to them play growing up. Especially when my uncle would add in his banjo. I tried to learn to play. I'm a better listener to music, then playing music.

After high school, I went to school, thinking I would be a nurse. I received my Nurse Aide and Medication Aide certifications and began working in nursing homes and with the mentally ill. I quickly discovered, this work was not for me, so back to school I went. I obtained my Account Clerk certification. After obtaining that certification, I have worked in customer service, as a receptionist, and back to the medical field in mental health, medical records, and finally Medicaid. As you can see I can't get away from the medical field.

I love helping others. I think that is why the medical field has always called me back. I know I wasn't cut out to be a nurse, but I figured out I can help the elderly in other ways. After working for the state for 11 years, I left to go to work for a non-profit organization serving the elderly. Currently, I assist the elderly with Medicaid applications. Plus I work with a great bunch of people who make the job fun. Two ladies specifically that hold a special place in my heart. One is a social worker and the other is an RN. They bring me work (Seriously, I love them to death!)

I do have three children that are my lifeline. After having my oldest who is now 14, that is when I decided to go to college and get my degree in Business Management. While going to college, I worked full time and volunteered with the Independent Living Program, assisting young adults exiting foster care into their adult lives. You would think that I would be there to assist and teach them, in reality, those girls taught me a few things about life. They also helped me to discover what I really want to do in life, which is to write and help others. As if I haven't changed my mind enough in life.

My two little ones, keep me on my toes. In August my youngest, will start Kindergarten. Time has definitely flown by. Being a mom is the best job ever for me. I love to watch their imaginations. As I'm writing this, I'm watching my daughter pretend to blow up balloons for a pretend birthday party. This makes me smile.

What Inspired Me to Start Writing

I wrote my first book in 2011 and my Independent Living girls inspired me to write, Adrian Born Under a Falling Star. I just left it on my computer. A friend read my book and said I should get it edited and publish it. I ignored her.

In 2012 when my Grandma Smith's health took a turn for the worse, I decided it was time. This friend of mine and I edited for a few weeks. I thought I was done, then realized I needed a cover. I had no clue what to do for a cover. Thankfully I had another cousin who did photography and she photo shopped a picture of my daughter and made the cover.

I was able to get my first book published a few weeks before my grandma passed away. A week or so before she passed I had started my second book in the series. Gina, Luke, and Mark Secrets Behind the Glitter and Gloss. I found a photo album in my grandma's closet that was perfect for the cover. I snapped a picture on a doily she made and took a chance on the cover. I have to admit, for amateur, I was proud of it. I finished writing that book the week she passed away.

After writing these two books, I kept going. I am now working on my seventh book, Wheat Murders. I am very excited for this book to be released.

What Am I Passionate About?

As I have said, I am passionate about helping others. My ultimate goal, is to donate 10% of my proceeds from my books to organizations. It brings me joy to know that I could have helped someone achieve a dream or put a smile on their face.
Sweet Nexus is such a wonderful group for connecting. Not just social media connection or contact, but personal contact. Michele has done a fantastic job of helping all of the women in this group reach out to one another.

Michele's Bio

Michele Jennae is the founder of SWEET Nexus, a Networking
Group for Entrepreneurial Women. Ever since she was young the running theme in
her life has been her ability to connect people, ideas, and opportunities. It
took her a while to recognize this theme, however, and she drifted from job to
job, and then business idea to business idea, until she formed SWEET Nexus six
months ago.

“It’s relatively young as far as businesses go,” Michele
Jennae says, “but the idea is really in slow and steady growth. One
misconception of a network is that the power is in the numbers. SWEET Nexus is
more about building relationships for a lifetime, and those relationships
require an investment of energy and time.”

Michele Jennae encourages her members to join, not necessarily
with the intention of making sales, although it most certainly can happen, but
to focus on what she calls SWEET Serendipity.

“I am inspired by the idea of serendipity. SWEET Serendipity
is all about allowing amazing things to happen in your life – that might
otherwise seem coincidental – as a result of the relationships that you
develop. You might find a business partner, a travel buddy, a cheerleader, a shoulder
to cry on. You might also find that these relationships affect your family and
other friends as well. You might get a lead for your husband’s work prospects,
or a connection that gets your child into a good college.”

What you will most definitely find in SWEET Nexus is a group
of friends. Supportive women who understand where you are at, because they are
there too.
